Annual Scholarship Auction

AUCTIONS SUPPORT AWARDS FOR STUDENTS AND MEMBERS

Our silent auction takes place during the annual conference.  In 2009, the auction raised more than $20,000.  Proceeds help support two awards programs:  Scholarships for students preparing for careers in editorial, public relations and marketing communications within the foodservice industry, and expense reimbursements for qualified IFEC members pursuing continuing education activities.

The 2010 auction at the conference in New Orleans is scheduled for Tuesday, November 9th.  The call for auction donations will go out this summer.  But it's never too early to start thinking about what to donate. Food and wine, gift baskets, ad pages, culinary services, restaurant gift certificates and cookbooks are examples.
