Code of Professional Standards
Adopted May 20, 1996
Members shall support the growth of knowledge and the free interchange of ideas within the profession, respect the views and opinions of their colleagues, and honor their right to express themselves.
Members shall not publish or otherwise disseminate any information which contains false, deceptive or misleading statements about themselves, their clients, the Council or any member thereof.
Members shall adhere to the highest standards of accuracy and truth, avoiding extravagant claims or unfair comparisons and giving credit for ideas and words borrowed from others.
Members shall exemplify high standards of honesty and integrity at all times.
Members shall not guarantee results beyond their direct control.
Members shall not place themselves in a position where their personal or professional interests are or may be in conflict with an obligation to an employer, client or colleague without full disclosure of such interests to all involved.
Members shall dedicate themselves to support and assist the Council in serving the foodservice industry.
